SKAGIT SPEEDWAY LOCALS READY FOR WORLD OF OUTLAW TEAMS

With this years World of Outlaws race just a few days away local 410 Sprint Car teams and drivers are prepared for the onslaught.
Current 410 point leader and defending class champion Jesse Whitney is on track for his third championship and ready to head a strong contingent of Skagit Speedway regulars against the best Sprint Car drivers in the country. Joining Whitney is Eric Fisher, Travis Jacobson the recent 360 Nationals champion and notorious big race competitor. Race fans can also count on former WoO regular and multiple time track champion Jason Solwold who won a WoO feature at Skagit Speedway in 2008 and this years Dirt Cup Champion Shane Stewart in the Danny Kirkpatrick car. Two-time Dirt Cup champion Jayme Barnes will also be on hand to duke it out with the Outlaws.
The Outlaws are coming to Skagit Speedway with a very tight point battle. The tightest in recent history with Kasey Kahne Racing driver Joey Saldana leading former WoO Champions Donny Schatz and Steve Kinser in the Tony Stewart Racing team cars. Saldana leads the all-time WoO leader in victories and titles Kinser by a scant 26 points before the Wednesday night feature in Cottage Grove, Oregon.
Spectators can also look forward to seeing fan favorite Jac Haudenschild, Jason Meyers and Jason Sides. Also scheduled to appear are Sammy Swindell, Kraig Kinser, Craig Dollansky, Danny Lasoski and Canadian Toni Lutar. Officials are looking for the full contingent of traveling Outlaws and many other teams coming to Skagit Speedway to compete over the two-night event. With Saturday nights winners check totaling $20,000.00 making it one of the richest Sprint Car paydays on the West Coast this season.
