2012 Tentative Schedule

Skagit Speedway has released a tentative 2012 season schedule. We are waiting for confirmation from a couple traveling series on proposed events that could be added to our schedule. We will update this as soon as we know what groups will be visiting Skagit Speedway this year.
The season kicks off the first Saturday in April with two rounds of playday practice for all classes and visiting series. We continue on with all classes battling each week for the season championship.
The Memorial weekend in May will once again host the John Carroll Classic presented by IRI. When the season rolls into mid-June the 41st annual Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup will be the showcase event for the country. The following week after Dirt Cup, Skagit Speedway will host for the first time the final leg of the Western States Modified Speedweek.
July means celebrating our country's independence, and it also means the biggest and baddest fireworks in the Northwest at Skagit Speedway courtesy of the Les Schwab Tire Stores. Sit back and get blown away after a full night of racing at our Mid-Season Championships. The week after Mid-Season we welcome back the Rolling Thunder Big Rigs, this time with some dry weather. See the 1000+ horsepower full size semi-trucks do battle on the awesome clay oval. And as an added attraction, the ever crazy Mr. Dizzy will attempt a world record jump driving a full size semi-truck! Also on the schedule will be the first Annual Sportsman Sprint Showdown, a special race for that class with extra $$$ added!
July Closes out with the $10,000 to win Bob's Burgers and Brew 360 Nationals. Also appearing with the sprint cars will be the Northwest Dwarf Car Challenge.
Sizzling hot August starts off with our even hotter 'Ladies Night Out' event; the first 5,000 ladies are admitted for FREE! Guys polish up them boots and belt buckles it's time to have some fun! On the docket for Ladies Night will be the 410 and Sportsman Sprints and the annual Outlaw Hornet Nationals. The month stays smokin' hot at the end when the World of Outlaws invades Skagit Speedway! See The Greatest Show On Dirt for two big nights, August 31st and September 1st!
The month of September has a built-in tradition for the track with the Skagit Powersports Flat Track World Championship Motorcycle, Quads and Kart Challenge! See the brave riders fly around (and through the air) at the Skagit high banked oval! The season closes out with the Championship Night and Fireworks Extravaganza. After the champions are crowned sit back and enjoy an awesome fireworks show that Skagit Speedway has become famous for!
There are still some events that will be added as soon as we get contracts signed. We hope to have this completely finalized by February 1st.
