STARKS SECURES ANOTHER SKAGIT SPEEDWAY WIN!

Alger, WA - For the second straight week, Trey Starks made a late race pass to score a Skagit Speedway win in the 360 division. Joining Starks as a feature winner on the night were Steven Hendrickson and Tristin Thomas.

Robbie Price and Colton Heath rolled off the front row of the 360 Sprint Car main event and it was Heath leading the first lap before Price drove to the lead on lap two. The pair caught traffic quickly, with Starks gradually closing in on the pair from his third place running spot. Price kept the field at bay as he cut through lapped cars before a late race caution pulled slower traffic out of the mix and gave Heath and Starks a chance to start on Price’s tail. On a late race restart, Heath executed a slidejob in turn two to take the lead, but a picture perfect crossover gave Price the top post back as they came around. Starks took advantage of the situation by sneaking past Heath into second and started stalking Robbie. With two laps to go, Starks came off the top of turn four with a monster run and used his momentum to throw a slider at Robbie that stuck, giving him the lead coming to the white flag. Starks would ride the momentum out to finish his win, his second in as many weeks in the class, with Price again settling for second and Heath running third. Starks set fast time on the night, while heat wins went to Heath, Price and Levi Hillier.

Steven Hendrickson punctuated his first career Sportsman Sprint win at Skagit Speedway with a clean sweep of the night. After setting quick time and winning his heat race, Hendrickson led all 20 laps to take the win, holding off Jesson Jacobson and Peyton Drake for the victory. Drake and Jacobson were the other heat race winners.

For the second straight week, Tristin Thomas rolled to the CGE Garage Midgets win. Thomas led the whole way with Alex Peck pressuring him the entire way but never finding a path to pass him en route to the victory. Nick Evans ran third. Kaden Holm set quick time. Shane Smith and Ryan Orchard won the heats.
