STAR WARS NIGHT - MAY 2
This Saturday, May 2, Skagit Speedway transforms into a galaxy far, far away. The Force arrives with the Exclusive Quality Customs 360 Sprint Cars, Skagit Casino Resort Modifieds, and the Hornet Division. Fans are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Star Wars costumes for a chance to win prizes, plus photo ops with roaming characters await.
Trey Starks opened the 2026 season on April 25, the same way he ended 2025, in victory lane. Starks built a gap over Jason Solwold in lap traffic and maintained the lead after a caution near halfway. Levi Hillier moved from fourth to second before Solwold reclaimed the spot with three laps left. Colton Heath passed Hillier back late for third. Starks leads the 360 Sprint Cars standings with 121 points, followed by Solwold (118) and Heath (107).
Saturday also marks the start of the 360 Summer Challenge Series. This eight-race competition features four races at each track: Skagit Speedway and Grays Harbor Raceway. Heath won the series last year. Hillier and Levi Kuntz finished second and third. Drivers may drop one race at each track and remain eligible for the top-five point fund. More information is available at SkagitSpeedway.com.
The Skagit Casino Resort IMCA Modifieds also opened their season on April 25. The race was highlighted by Tyson Blood’s charge from 10th to victory. Adam Holtrop led early, but Blood used the high side to take over and pull away from Holtrop. Rory Smith and Cole Logan rounded out the top three. Blood leads the standings with 40 points. Smith follows one point back. Logan is two points behind.
The Hornet Division makes its season debut Saturday and the chase for the 2026 track championship begins. Howard Vos won the 2025 title with two victories and a perfect top-five finish streak in eight features. Bryce Kolar finished second, 139 points behind Vos. He had five top-five and seven top-10 finishes in seven features. Dave Hill was third, 194 points back, with two top-five and five top-10 finishes in eight features.
